Hold Periods and Getting Paid

When a lead is accepted, the money doesn't transfer instantly. There's a hold period first. Here's why, how long it lasts, and how to get paid faster.

What Is a Hold Period?

The hold period is the time between when a lead is accepted and when the money releases to the sender. During this window, the receiver can file a dispute if the lead turns out to be bad.

Think of it like a cooling-off period. It protects everyone — the receiver has time to verify the lead is legit, and the platform has time to catch any issues.

Hold Periods by Trust Level

The hold period is based on the sender's trust level, not the receiver's.

Your Earnings Page

The Earnings page shows three numbers:

  • Total Earned — Everything you've earned all-time
  • In Hold Period — Money from accepted leads still waiting to clear
  • Ready for Payout — Money that's cleared and ready to hit your bank

Getting Your Money Out

Once money clears the hold period, you have a few options:

  • Weekly auto-withdraw (recommended) — Turn this on and available funds transfer to your bank every Friday automatically. Set it and forget it.
  • Manual withdraw — Hit the Withdraw button whenever you want to pull money out. Standard transfers take 2–3 business days.
  • Instant payout — Need the money now? Instant payout is available (with a small fee). Not all bank accounts support this, but it's worth checking.

The Full Flow

  1. You send a lead → contractor accepts
  2. Payment is captured from the receiver
  3. Money sits in the hold period (based on YOUR trust level)
  4. Hold period ends → money moves to "Ready for Payout"
  5. Auto-withdraw sends it to your bank on Friday (or you withdraw manually)
  6. Money hits your bank in 2–3 business days

💡 Pro Tips

  • Turn on weekly auto-withdraw. Otherwise you have to manually request every payout. It's in your Earnings settings.
  • The jump from 30-day to 14-day hold is huge. Focus on getting those first 5 leads accepted to reach Verified. Quality over quantity.
  • Hold period = sender's trust level, not yours. When you're receiving leads, the hold period is irrelevant to you — you pay immediately on accept. But when you're sending, YOUR trust level determines how fast you get paid.
  • Send quality leads to level up. The best way to shorten your hold period is to send leads that get accepted. Five good ones and you're at Verified.
