Using Credits Effectively
Credits are basically store credit on LeadChuck. You can't cash them out, but they automatically cover your lead fees — so they're as good as money on the platform.
What Are Credits?
Credits are a platform balance that pays for lead fees. When you accept a lead and you have credits, they get applied automatically before your bank gets charged.
- •Example: You have $20 in credits and accept a $50 lead. You only get charged $30 from your bank. The $20 in credits covers the rest.
- •Credits can't be withdrawn or converted to cash
- •They apply automatically — no coupon codes needed
How You Earn Credits
There are three main ways credits show up in your account:
- •Dispute refunds— If you accept a bad lead and win the dispute, you get a credit for the lead fee (and the platform fee too if it's still in the hold period).
- •Referral bonuses — Invite other contractors. When they complete their first lead transaction, you earn $10 for your first 4 invites, $15 for invites 5–9, and $25 for each one after that.
- •Promotions — We run occasional promos. Keep an eye on your email.

The Credit Lifecycle
Credits go through a few stages:
- HELD→ Sometimes credits are held during a dispute or hold period. You can see them but can't use them yet.
- AVAILABLE→ Ready to use. These get applied automatically to your next lead fee.
- REDEEMED→ Used up. Applied to a lead fee.
- EXPIRED→ Gone. Sat unused for too long.
Expiration: The 6-Month Rule
Credits expire after 6 months of inactivity. But here's the key — any lead transaction (sending or accepting a lead) resets the clock on all your credits.
- •Stay active and your credits never expire
- •We'll email you warnings at 90, 30, and 7 days before expiration
- •Oldest credits get used first (FIFO) — so the ones closest to expiring get spent first
💡 Pro Tips
- •Stay active and your credits never expire. Even one lead transaction resets the clock on ALL your credits.
- •Invite contractors to stack credits.Four invites = $40 in credits. That's almost a free lead.
- •Credits auto-apply.You don't need to do anything. If you have $20 in credits and accept a $50 lead, you only get charged $30.
- •Check your credits page periodically.Know what's available, what's held, and when things expire.
